Costa Blanca Holiday Calendar 2025

ree

It is well known that Spain knows how to celebrate and relax. Here they celebrate from the heart, with joy. In 2025 we expect both national holidays with days off, as well as local holidays, carnivals and fairs in which the main institutions operate.

In total, the Valencian Community in 2025 will have 12 official holidays and one more, on June 24 (Tuesday, San Juan). In addition, workers will add two holidays corresponding to local holidays.

Thus, the year will begin with the New Year and Kings' Day holidays, which will be Wednesday and Monday respectively, and in March the feast of San José (March 19) will arrive, which will fall on a Wednesday.

In April, Holy Week 2025 will be celebrated with the holidays of Good Friday (April 18) and Easter Monday (April 21).

The Valencian Community's work calendar also includes the holidays of May 1, August 15, October 9, November 1, and December 6, 8, and 25.

For 2025, the Generalitat has chosen to include the holiday of October 9 (Thursday, day of the region) in its work calendar instead of moving the National Holiday (October 12) to the following Monday, which falls on a Sunday.

This is one of those considered "replaceable holidays" and each autonomous community is free to include or not in their calendars.
